Positive Affirmations for Kids: I Can Do Hard Things!An affirmation is something positive we say about ourselves, and it makes us feel good about who we are. With practice, tools learned in this class can cause spontaneous eruptions of smiles, joyful giggles, and compassion for others who may be experiencing low self-esteem.
We read the book I Can Do Hard Things: Mindful Affirmations for Kids (by Gabi Garcia) which introduces children to the practice of tuning into their quiet voice inside and using mindful affirmations to support themselves in navigating hard situations whenever they arise. * This class is part of both series we offer, thus the individual class is offered twice this month. If you register your child for the Mindfulness Meditation series, this class will take place on Tuesday the 5th.* Tuesday, March 2nd @ 4pm PST

Finding the Quiet Place WithinThis class empowers children to find their quiet place within by learning mindfulness breathing techniques. This module will help them anchor that experience so when they need to decompress, they might go to the quiet place, close their eyes, and revisit the place inside them that helps them experience silence and peace.
In this class, we read Charlotte and the Quiet Place (by Deborah Sosin) which paints the realistic picture that we don't always have a quiet place outside of us to retreat to in times of need, but shows how we can find a quiet place within that we can always return to when we're overwhelmed or just want to relax. Thursday, March 4th @ 4pm PST

Breathing Techniques for Self-RegulationParticipants in this class learn ten breathing techniques that can be utilized for self-regulation when they are faced with challenges that may seem overwhelming.
As each breath is introduced, it is described as a "calming" breath or an "energizing" breath. Calming breaths may be used as a tool when a child is feeling anxious, angry, frustrated, and/or overwhelmed. Energizing breaths may be used when a child is feeling sluggish or tired and they want to increase their energy level. * This class is part of both series we offer, thus the individual class is offered twice this month. Developing a Gratitude PracticeA gratitude practice dramatically changes brain chemistry, leading to a peaceful mind and healthy body. It has been proven that those who practice gratitude daily have more positive states of alertness, enthusiasm, determination, attentiveness, and energy. Children who practice gratitude show more positive attitudes and are less likely to judge others.
In this class, we read Grow Grateful (by Sage Foster-Lasser and Jon Lasser) & color our own Gratitude Gardens, for which we will discuss & share with each other all the many things we have to be grateful for in our lives! Thursday, March 11th @ 4pm PST

Mindfulness for KidsIn this class, we read Mindful Monkey, Happy Panda (by Lauren Alderfer). Children will make a journal, then spend time utilizing their senses of sight, hearing, and smell to anchor their awareness in the present moment.
As they practice using these tools available at all times, they learn ways they can easily return to the moment and more immediately connect with themselves and others. This class is wonderful for assisting children in dealing with anxiety, stress, frustration, and a myriad of other emotions. Tuesday, March 16th @ 4pm PST

Gemstones for Connecting With our SuperpowersIn this class, children are introduced to the powers of vibrational medicine of the Earth! This class offers the option to purchase a set of tumbled stones to go along with the lesson, or you can use the ones you have at home! We will read Using Gemstones for Connect with Your Superpowers! (by Alex Hadassah Anzalone) to learn about which Superpowers go with which stones & how to care for our special pieces of the Earth.
Children (and their parent/guardian) are empowered to experience the vibrational connection to the stones for themselves to develop sensitivity & awareness of the power they hold within, which crystals can help us unlock. Thursday, March 18th @ 4pm PST
